Sugata [configuration]: broad hirazukuri, iori mune, even curve, extended kissaki
Kitae [forging pattern]: itame
Hamon [tempering pattern]: gunome choji midare, yo, sunagashi
Boshi [tip]: maru
Nakago [tang]: o-suriage, two mekugi-ana, file marks indistinct, ha-agari kurijiri
Habaki [collar]: double gilt copper
Horimono [carving]: on the ura a bohi with soehi, on the omote mitsu soehi, all kakitosu
Nagasa
[length of blade]: 49.6cm.
Koshirae [mounting]: wakizashi mounting, the scabbard lacquered red with black ribbed upper part, eight-lobed iron tsuba with large piercings, copper kozuka with embossed crab, copper menuki of tiger, fuchigashira of dark copper alloy with gilt flowers and plants in high relief
