(Edges faintly browned, some spotting on the first and last few leaves not affecting the photographs.) Original black cloth, printed paper label on spine, original printed dust-jacket (spine head of dust-jacket chipped, spine and edges browned, small repairs from the verso). FIRST EDITION. 'A GREAT WORK OF ART', which 'holds a well deserved place at the top of the pantheon' (The Photobook). American Photographs 'revolutionized the photobook' (Regards à travers le livre 69). The presumed first-issue: without the errata slip and with the back panel of the dust-jacket listing MoMA publications; copies are known with an errata slip and blank back panel but clear priority has not yet been established.
