Of fine eggshell porcelain, with two panels depicting scenes from the lives of famous beauties, the first with the daughter of the reigning Duke seated before her future husband, the famous flautist Xiao Shi, and to the reverse the beautiful lady in waiting Wang Zhaojun being carried away by the King of the Huns, surrounded by fine dragon and flower detailing on a yellow ground

Peter Wain comments in his 1993 exhibition 'Heavenly Pieces' that the iron-red seal mark 'Shilu', was a shop mark used by the studio owner Liang Duishi, who owned the Lizhe Xuan store in the Provincial capital of Jiangxi, Nanchang.
