Comprising a teapot, sugar jar with cover and milk jug, each of lobed form, the panels decorated in relief with alternating figural and foliate scenes, the handles modelled as gnarled branches, the teapot with ivory divider, each piece engraved to the footrim with 'H. BROTHERTON from his old chum TOM SMITHERS', marked 'TS' and '90' with Chinese artisan mark to the base
