cover 1850 (9 Aug.) entire registered to Rottenmann, Austria bearing 1850 9Kr. bright-blue Type I (2), cancelled by centrally struck straight-line "BELGRAD/9.AUG" (1850) d.s. with matching unframed "RECOM:" h.s. adjacent, reverse showing disinfection seal applied at Semlin. Contrary to regulations, the registration fee of 6Kr. was not affixed separately on the reverse, the 12Kr. postal rate was shortly afterwards reduced to 9Kr. Very fine, without doubt the most important cover used from the Austrian Consular Post Office.
