A MID-VICTORIAN ROSEWOOD STOOL AND A MAHOGANY STOOL
THE ROSEWOOD STOOL THIRD QUARTER 19TH CENTURY; THE LEGS OF THE MAHOGANY STOOL 18TH CENTURY
The rosewood rectangular stool with padded seat covered in floral patterned fabric, on tapering faceted legs with brass castors, the mahogany stool with a rectangular padded seat covered in striped pale green and yellow floral fabric, on blind fretwork-carved legs with arched angle-brackets, joined by a pierced stretcher, stamped '4616', the stretcher stamped '4'
The rosewood stool: 21½ in. (55 cm.) high; 38 in. (96.5 cm.) wide; 20½ in. (52 cm.) deep
The mahogany stool: 18 in. (46 cm.) high; 23 in. (58.5 cm.) wide; 18 in. (46 cm.) deep (2)
