Just as our Collector enjoyed encouraging the love of horology in others, he was in turn inspired by the drive of the independent watchmakers. Masters of their craft and yet, choosing to operate individually away from the conglomerates that dominate the market, independents distinctively imbibe their limited production timepieces with their individual passion and personality. Drawing inspiration from the mechanics of Formula 1 automobiles and the technology of space travel, Richard Mille is one of the most sought after contemporary masters, he has become known for employing unconventional manmade materials and pushing watchmaking to its limits.
