Inspired by the sleekness and speed of high performance automobiles, the legacy of Daytona harks back to the 1930s when Sir Malcolm Campbell set the world land speed record with a Daytona on his wrist. This particular reference 16520, was launched in 1988 and production ceased in 2000. These present lots offer us an opportunity to review the evolution of the five different versions of the dial in Marks 1 to 5.
