A FINELY CARVED ZITAN RUYI SCEPTRE
QING DYNASTY, 18TH/19TH CENTURY
The ruyi head delicately carved in openwork with a large elephant, its head turned towards the rear displaying a pair of inlaid tusks within a pierced boder of swirling clouds, the long plain shaft of gently curved form widening at the end and ending in a white jade terminal
