AN EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN CORE-FORMED GLASS ALABASTRON
CIRCA MID 2ND-EARLY 1ST CENTURY B.C.
Cobalt blue in color, the elongated cylindrical body with a rounded bottom, sloping shoulders, a long cylindrical neck and a flat disk rim, with an applied yellow marvered thread attached at the rim and an applied white marvered thread attached at the neck, both wound spirally along the length of the body and tooled into a feather pattern, twin horizontal blue lugs on the shoulders
7 1/8 in. (18.1 cm.) high
