GENEVA, CIRCA 1790/1795, THE ENAMEL BY ISAAC ADAM (SWISS, 1768-1841)
Circular tortoiseshell-lined bonbonnière coloured to simulate red porphyry, the independent cover set with an enamel miniature of a young gentleman in blue coat with striped yellow waistcoat and powdered hair, in a landscape, within green gold waterleaf on a frosted yellow gold ground border, the sides and base with similar mounts, the base glazed with hairwork
