Mary Digby, née Cotes, in white dress, black choker, powdered upswept curling hair
on ivory
oval, 2¼ in. (60 mm.) high, gold frame with seed-pearl surround, the reverse engraved 'Mary dau. of John Cotes of Woodcote Mar: Wriothesly Digby of Meriden died 1786.'

Mary Digby, née Cotes, was the daughter of John Cotes of Woodcote, Shropshire. She married The Hon. Wriothesly Digby, son of William Digby, 5th Baron Digby of Geashill and Lady Jane Noel.
