A PAIR OF PARIS BLUE-GROUND SLENDER CAMPANA VASES
CIRCA 1820
Each with matt-gilt winged caryatid handles, the flared bodies painted with a bust length portrait of a lady half-turned to the right and a girl with flowing red hair facing to the left, within gilt rectangular scale-pattern surrounds, the reverses gilt with a lyre and a wreath of flowers and foliage, the lower parts with a band of stylised cell and flowerhead pattern between rich gilt bands, on circular spreading stems with radiating gilt gadroons and square plinth feet (some chipping to tops of socles, one wing and one head restuck)
