A GEORGE II SILVER BASKET
MARK OF JOHN LUFF, LONDON, 1742
Oval and on four scroll feet, the sides pierced with scrolls below the figure heightened gadrooned border, with overhead scroll handle, chased with foliage and rocaille centring two later engraved coats-of-arms accolé below a coronet, marked underneath, further numbered No 1 and engraved with scratchweights '61=1' and '1852 grs'

The arms are those of de la Forest accolé with those of de Ségur for Louis de La Forest, Comte d'Armaillé and his wife Célestine de Ségur (1830-1918), who he married on 17 March 1851.
