Each circular with a ribbon-tied reeded border, engraved with a coat-of-arms below a baron's coronet, each marked on the back, further stamped 'GARRARDS Panton Street LONDON'

The arms are those of Galloway quartering Abernethy, Stewart of Bonkyl and another with Douglas in pretence impaling the Royal arms quartering Scott as borne by Archibald, 1st Baron Douglas of Douglas (1748-1827) and his second wife Frances (1750-1817), daughter of Francis, Earl of Dalkeith (1720-1750), whom he married in 1783.
