A LONDON DELFT DATED BLUE AND WHITE MODEL OF A MAN'S SHOE
1654, PROBABLY SOUTHWARK
Of low high-heeled form, with a moulded ribbon beneath the tongue, squared pointed toe with stylised flowerhead of dots and the initials M.H/1654, the back of the shoe with a raised band extending down the heal flanked by two similar stylised flowerheads, edged with a blue band, the lower part and heel with a band of stitching
