The pierced handle finely carved with scrolling foliage and surmounted by a griffin, the reverse carved with the inscription 'GOTT ALLEINDIEHRE, ANNO. 1691.' the back of the bowl carved with a man and woman seated together in a bath tub within a border of flowering vines, the bowl with an old ink inventory number '624/40'
