Marsannay Langeroies--Vintage 2002
Côte de Nuits. French-bottled: Denis Mortet
Tasting note: Soy sauce, black cherries, and hints of plums can be found in the nose of the 2002 Marsannay Les Longeroies. This rich, satin-textured wine was harvested before the massive storm that struck its commune and neighbouring Fixin. Lush, fresh, and sumptuously textured, it slathers the palate with blackberry jam, mocha, and dark cherry paste. Even though it has a super-ripe flavour profile, this beauty is fresh and well-balanced. Drink it over the next 5-6 years. Wine Advocate # 153, Jun 2004
