ACKERMANN, Rudolph (1764-1834). Autograph letter signed ('Rudolph Ackermann') to the bookseller F.G. Baumgaertner (of Leipzig), London, 13 June 1793, in German, a lively and affectionate letter sending book trade news including comments on engravings included in Baumgaertner's letter, news of a rival publishing project advertising English engravings and books which the recipient is to hurry to overtake, putting off a report on the London booksellers till a later letter on account of his wife's illness, and promising to send further copies of a volume from his series of coach designs, even if the price is likely to be prohibitive for German buyers, 4 pages, 4to, bifolium, integral address panel (remnant of seal, small seal tear), framed and glazed.
