FIRST EDITION. The Fekula copy, complete with the portait by Skotnikov after Briulov. Baratynskii 'was a poet much admired by Pushkin, whose closest rival he was' (Fekula). V. Belinsky remarked that 'of all the poets who appeared at the same time as Pushkin, pride of place undoubtedly belongs to Baratynsky'. Fekula 4518 (this copy); Kilgour 103; Smirnov-Sokol'skii 504.
