Of goblet form, chased with acanthus leaves below ribbon-tied wreaths and laurel swags, on putto support, the domed base with conforming decoration, the detachable openwork cover in the form of an acanthus crown surmounted by the Imperial double-headed eagle and inscribed around rim in Cyrillic This medal is given to the Captain Grigoriy Potolov, purportedly by Empress Catherine II for his help in securing her throne
