MARQUIS DE LAGUICHE
The Marquis de Laguiche owns 2 hectares in Le Montrachet which is sold entirely to Joseph Drouhin. The two entities work together to develop a strict viticulture program executed by the Marquis' staff while Drouhin handles the harvest, vinifies and bottles the wines. The vines are from a special parcel on the Puligny side of Montrachet giving the fruit classic mineral, pear and white flowers notes. This results in a highly expressive wine full of character and one of the longest lived, intense and magnificent of all white burgundies. Only around 100 cases are imported in the United States each year and vintages with this level of bottle age are rarely seen at auction. These wines were bought on release.
