The Clash performed two secret gigs during Christmas 1979 at a 250 capacity venue in Ladbroke Grove, London, as a thank you to their fans and as warm-up to the Kampuchea Benefit Concert which took place at the Hammersmith Odeon on the 27th. The Christmas Day gig was poorly attended, but word of mouth assured that the Boxing day gig was a sell-out.
