Lot Essay

Keith's first musical instrument was a bugle, picked up at the age of twelve when he joined the local Sea Cadets Corps in Linthorpe Avenue, near his family home. The bugle progressed to the trumpet, and Keith Cleverdon [a school friend] recalls, "the bugle was too much hard work for Keith", who instead opted for the drums
