Oval, the sides and covers cast and chased with basketweave, with gadrooned handles, engraved inside the base and cover with a crest, marked underneath and on cover bezel

The crest is that of Style, possibly for Sir Thomas Style, 4th Bt. (d.1769), who married Elizabeth (d.1737), daughter of Sir Charles Hotham 4th Bt. (d.1722). He demolished and rebuilt the family seat Wateringbury Place in the early part of the 18th century. (2)
