On the basis of a photograph Professor Mason could not confirm the full attribution to Palma. She suggests that the sheet might be related to another drawing given to Antonio Vassillacchi called Aliense, which is now in the Louvre (inv. 5505).
The estimate for this lot should read £4000-6000 and not as printed in the catalogue.
