Each oblong, the hinged covers applied with an earl's coronet above the letter 'S' in gold, the larger box with tortoiseshell fleur-de-lys shaped catch
Largest box: 6¼ in. long (16 cm.)
Smaller pair 4¼ in. (10.7 cm.) long
The initial is almost certainly that of Charles Robert, 6th Earl Spencer (1857-1922). (3)
