A SET OF STEEL-MOUNTED MOTHER-OF-PEARL HAND-SEALS
PROBABLY FRENCH, 19TH CENTURY
Seven tapering trapazoidal seals inscribed with a day of the week in French to each oval steel matrix, in contemporary fitted case, the cover applied with marcasites forming the word 'Semaine.'
Each seal, 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) high; the case, 4 in. (10.2 cm.) wide
