These prints possibly show the chassis of one of the Spencer barouches (see lots 194 and 198) being used as the 'Triumphal Car' of 'Honest Jack' Althorp, Viscount Althorp, later 3rd Earl Spencer (1782-1845) who was re-elected MP for Northampton when the Whigs returned to power under Lord Grey, and held the positions of Chancellor of the Exchequer and Leader of the House of Commons.
