A LATE VICTORIAN DARK GREEN-JAPANNED AND LIVERY-PAINTED LADY'S PHAETON

With folding black leather calash hood enclosing a black buttoned leather-lined interior with conforming lap cover, with curved railed dashboard with lamp-holders and two black-japanned carriage lamps (not illustrated in the photograph) with umbrella tops by H. SMITH NORTHAMPTON, the rear coachman's seat with buttoned green cloth-covered squab cushion, with elliptical suspension and on iron-rimmed wooden spoke wheels, marked on each wheel hub 'MULLINER NORTHAMPTON', poor condition overall
