With panelled case, the 13½ in. diameter silvered and engraved dial signed 'WHITMORE/NORTHAMPTON', the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on bell, stamped '735/WHITMORE/NORTHAMPTON/1837'; two weights, pendulum, winding key
