AN OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE SOUP-TUREEN AND COVER
APPARENTLY UNMARKED, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Tapering oblong and with drop-ring handles, the detachable cover with a part-reeded handle and engraved with the initial 'A' below a viscount's coronet
11¾ in. (29.49 cm.) wide
The initial is possibly that of Frederick Spencer, Viscount Althorp and later 4th Earl Spencer (1798-1857).
