MARK OF ELKINGTON AND CO., BIRMINGHAM, 1937
Tapering cylindrical, on circular spreading foot, with panelled sides and part-fluted spout, the hinged cover with a turned-wood finial, one side engraved with initial 'A' below a viscount's coronet
5¾ in. (14.5 cm.) high
15.6 oz. (487 gr.)
The initial is possibly that of Edward John Spencer, Viscount Althorp and later 8th Earl Spencer (1924-1992).
