The Bucks Point bobbin lace leaf worked with swags and set on mother of pearl sticks in fitted buff leather presentation case, the case embossed in gilt with the badge of the 4th Battalion, Northamptonshire Regiment and the designation South Africa, 1900-1902

By repute, presented to Margaret Spencer (1868-1906) wife of Charles Robert, 6th Earl Spencer (1857-1922) who gained the rank of Major and Hon. Colonel in the service of the 4th Battalion, the Northampton Regiment.
