In 1787 the Parisian marchand-mercier Dominique Daguerre supplied six pairs of the original model to the Duke of York, brother to the future George IV; while a vase of this model, with branches forming candelabra, is now in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London (Jones collection, 982, 982A, 1882), illustrated by H. Ottomeyer & P. Pröschel, Vergoldete Bronzen, vol. 1, p. 259.
