A PAIR OF FRENCH LARGE SILVER-PLATED TEN LIGHTS CANDELABRA
maker's mark of Odiot, Paris, circa 1865

Each resting on three lion paw feet supporting the partly fluted baluster stem richly chased with foliage, applied with three lion masks with drop ring-handles and three cartouches engraved with monogram AHS, the stem terminating in three grotesque figures with feather hairdress, joined with fruit swags, surmounted by a socket applied with a band of stylised palm leaves and ribbon-tied garlands, the branches partly applied with acanthus foliage, terminating sockets with stylised gadrooned border, the sockets decorated with fluted panels, one of the candelabra stamped under one foot 3307
