maker's mark of Georg Ignatius Christoph Baur, Augsburg, 1771-1773
On four foliate feet, the stand shaped and moulded as two leaves enhanced with rocaille and with vine handles, the centre supporting an openwork scroll and rocaille glass holder and similar cup holder, and behind with a sugar stand supported on a leafy vine stem, the dish of oval form and pierced with conforming decoration around the border 16.5cm. (6½in.) high
