SHANG/EARLY WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY, CIRCA 14TH-11TH CENTURY BC
Comprising a small white and pale russet cicada, with pierced ridge between the eyes of the broad head, the underside detailed with a thorax; a pendant of slender rectangular form, divided into segments by bow-string borders, one end pierced, the other rounded end with button tip; a larva with thick, curved body and pointed head with bulbous eyes above the pierced feet; and a pale greenish-white cricket of wedge shape, the thick body pierced lengthwise with a large channel
