THREE JADE GE HALBERD BLADES
LATE SHANG/EARLY WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY, CIRCA 1100 BC
The smallest now opaque and of greenish-buff color, the blade with a median rib on both sides issuing from the conical hole, the butt of the tang carved with toothed notches; the second now opaque and of soft olive and brown color, with median ridge on both sides, the long edges of the blade beveled to where the tip begins, and the tang also with beveled edges, with small biconical hole; the largest now opaque and of buff and pale brown color, with a median rib running the length of the blade on both sides
