TWO JADE RECTANGULAR APPLIQUES
EARLY WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY, 10TH CENTURY BC
Both semi-translucent, one white, the other of olive-tan color, the first carved on one side with confronted birds with long striated crests and tail feathers, the reverse carved with two rows of diamond pattern separated by a groove, the other with similar birds on both sides, both plaques with bull-nose perforations at the corners
