FOUR JADE DRAGON-FORM PENDANTS
EASTERN ZHOU DYNASTY, CIRCA 4TH CENTURY BC
All with flat bodies carved on both sides: one of grey-green color, the broad undulating body filled with scrolls, with backward-turned head and curled tail; one of slender, elongated form, the stone opaque and of olive-tan tone, the backward-turned head with rolled snout and the body with commas; one of dark green color with buff alteration, carved in openwork as two dragons, the larger positioned over the smaller and its bifurcated tail forming the head of the smaller; the fourth semi-translucent, and of white and brown color, of tightly undulating outline, carved with commas and scrolls
