Graham--Vintage 1945 Damaged wax capsules. Badly bin-soiled labels, one damaged. Levels into neck
Tasting note: "Bottled in London as well as Oporto. Outstandingly the loveliest '45. Many consistently good notes. Deep-coloured, fairly intense, lively attractive, long 'legs'; immediately forthcoming fragrant, spice, sweetness and fruit masking high alcoholic content; the sweetest of the eleven '45s tasted in Florida in 1989, and easily the best (labelled 'Finest Reserve 1945 bottled in Oporto 1948 W & J Graham & Co') at 'The World's Greatest Ports' tasting ; a sweet-smelling, fragrant yet powerful wine, still tannic, profound. Last tasted at yet another Hollywood Wine Society seminar, Florida, March 1998 ***** M.B.
