A Tripart Incised-wood Brush Holder
Joseon dynasty (20th century)
Composed of three connected cylinders each of hexagonal shape and of slightly variant diameters, deeply carved into the facets with running rows of calligraphy ending with an incised artemesia leaf, the rims decorated with lightning-bolt bands colored red in the recesses, the wood of the exterior finished reddish brown, the cloverleaf-shaped base and interiors unfinished
