A rare gilt copper figure of Amoghapasa
Nepal, 14th century
The eight-armed deity standing in elegant tribhanga with his arms radiating around him, dressed in a short dhoti secured with pendent belt, a flowing sash knotted about his hips and the sacred thread falling from his left shoulder, wearing beaded jewelry inset with hardstones, the benign face with raised urna, his thick locks piled into a high chignon topped with a jeweled finial and centered by a diminutive figure of a seated Buddha, secured with a foliate tiara tied with billowing ribbons at either side
