A rare gilt wooden relief of Ushnishavijaya
Tibet, 16th/17th century
Carved in three tiers centered by a three-headed deity on a double lotus base backed by a mandorla, holding a vase and vajra in his principle hands and a bow, water bottle, Buddha, and arrow in his secondary hands, flanked by a pair of standing deities, with further wrathful deities above and below, all surrounded by lush vegetation, the entire scene with gilding and black lacquer remaining
