A gilt bronze figure of Amitayus
Tibet, circa 17th century
Seated in dhyanasana on a deeply cast double-lotus base with beaded rims, holding the vase with a seated Buddha atop, clad in a dhoti and flowing scarf, adorned with lavish armbands, necklaces, and earrings, the face with a meditative expression, his blue hair piled into a high chignon with several locks falling on his shoulders, crowned with a foliate tiara, the base plate incised with a double vajra
