Two carved wooden bookcovers and two manuscripts
Tibet, 18th/19th century
Including a polychromed bookcover with a Bhodisattva, Buddha and Green Tara painted on the inside; the second bookcover with Avalokiteshvara flanked by two Buddhas all set within niches and a gilt stupa on one end; both manuscripts comprised of gilt calligraphy against a black background on dark blue leaves, one with a silk bookmark between plain boards and the other within silk-covered flexible boards
