Three boxes of this date and unusual form, also decroated with dragons and the characters shou (longevity), fu (happiness) and lu (prosperity), but with a diaper pattern rather than lotus scroll ground visible between the cartouches, have been published: one by Sir Harry Garner, Chinese and Japanese Cloisonné Enamels, London, 1970, pl. 63B; one by Claudia Brown, Chinese Cloisonné: The Clague Collection, Phoenix Art Museum, 1980, pl. 31, and the third by Helmut Brinker and Albert Lutz, Chinese Cloisonné: The Pierre Uldry Collection, The Asia Society Galleries, New York, 1989, no. 166.
