A LARGE PAINTED ENAMEL BASIN
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
Raised on three low feet, and painted in the interior with two Mandarin ducks swimming amidst a lush waterscape with peonies, framed by a shaped border of leafy floral scroll beneath a band of dragons amidst clouds and crashing waves, the everted, bracket-lobed rim painted with reserves of chilong and butterflies amidst flowers reserved on a pink cell ground, the underside of the rim painted with prunus blossoms on a 'cracked ice' ground, above the sides painted with three large floral sprays, and the base with a bat fluttering about two large peaches
