Lot Essay

Zhu Angzhi, who used the artistic names Qingli and Jinli, was a native of Wujin in Jiangsu but later lived in Suzhou. Deeply influenced by the style of earlier masters, he especially followed Yun Shouping, Wang Hui, and Dong Qichang. Two examples of his paintings after Dong are in the Nanjing Museum and Tianjin Municipal Museums.
